Sunshine Award: Shiny Happy Bloggers Holding Hands

I won the Sunshine Award!

Sunshine Blog Award

My dear Nikky nominated me to receive the sunshine award!  I am grateful since it gave me something to write about today! You can read the nice things she says about Heal Now on her blog Nikky’s Strength’s and Weaknesses.

Her blog is real and open hearted and even though she writes of pain, the energy is full of promise and purpose.  And packed chock full with love. Thanks for my nomination!

Kreativ Blogger Award - creative blogger

Back in February, I was nominated by Laura Zera for the Kreativ Blogger award. She writes a blog called Stories to Connect Cultures.  She writes beautifully about her travels all over the world. Here is a heartwarming story about her stay in Israel: How I Ended Up Living in Israel. She has written a book to match, which I finally have on order, and I am waiting for her next book to be released which is on her life growing up with a mother with mental illness.

Here are the rules of the Sunshine award if you are nominated:

Include the award’s logo in a post or on your blog (see flower photo above).

Answer 10 questions about yourself

Nominate 10 or 12 other fabulous bloggers.

Link your nominees to the post and comment on their blogs, letting them know they have been nominated.

Share the love and link the person who nominated you!

So here are 10 things about me:

1. What are your favorite things to do? Laugh

2. Where would you most like to travel to? The Middle East

3. Who would you most like to meet who is still living? Nikky

4. Who would you most like to meet who has passed away? Mother Theresa

5. What do you think is the hardest thing to do? Feel scared

6. What is your favorite non-alcoholic drink? Green smoothie

7. What is your favorite charity? Heifer International

Sunshine award

8. What are you proud of? My three children

9. What ambition do you still have? Finish the book

10. What is your favorite flower? Dogwood

I have so much trouble nominating other blogs since I am so afraid that I will leave someone out. Never waiting to be exclusive, I hesitate. There are thousands of great blogs out there, but I am going to limit my nominations to smaller ones. (I am trying not to repeat Nikky’s nominations which is hard since I love those, too!)

Thanks so much Jodi, how nice to read more about you – a way or another I never visited you there, I thought it was a website you had and not a blog. Anyway I am very happy to read you from now on.
Take care and Congratulations for the award!

Thans Marie! Glad to finally meet!

Wow! Thanks Jodi for passing it onto me!

However, I have already been nominated for the same award thrice earlier, and had given it to you long back if you remember- as you can see here- http://www.aha-now.com/mesmerizing-sunshine-award/

Nonetheless, I added you in too, so now I have four wonderful people who gave it – thanks once again of thinking of me.

Yes, I have been to Nikky’s wonderful blog and she does write from her heart too. It’s always nice to connect with such wonderful bloggers, most of whom are new to me and I would surely be checking out their blogs as well.

I guess we have Mother Teresa in common, as I have always wanted to meet her too, and of course, always proud of my kids. You have wonderful children, glad you shared their pictures here. :)

Thanks once again for this wonderful honor Jodi. :)

I have to say that December I was beside myself with work. I wouldn’t remember if you hit me over the head. But love the connection that has developed since then! Heres to continued friendship!

Congratulations Jodi! This is so well-deserved. Thank you for thinking of me. Though I was nominated earlier, I am so honored. I would have listed you, but knew you had one already and I wasn’t sure how these things work! :)
I am delighted to hear you love Heifer International. I think it is such a wonderful charity. My kids love participating in choosing animals to support families/communities in need.
I think Dogwoods are beautiful too; they always come just as we’re bidding the cherry blossoms farewell and seem to stick around until the summer weather arrives!
I love the picture of your family and wish you happy writing …

Heifer is so something kids can get into. I think this is my first Sunshine. I haven’t posted everything I ever received because being honest, these posts take a long time to throw together! I barely have time for what I am doing!

Of course Harleenas proved me wrong… She did give it to me!

You wanna travel to the middle of the east where I am? Whatever for? I mean, I’m here but I’d rather be home. Anyway, dogwoods are popular where I’m from. We even have a Dogwood Festival. Congrats on your award.

I don’t know Tots. I want to go the Egypt. Haiti, Africa, too. All kinds of dangerous places. Maybe they are past life connections for me. :)

Thank you! By the way, Heifer Project is a great charity and it was started by the father or someone at my church. It is one of my church’s main missions. They do incredible things.

Hey you, thanks for the lovely words in your intro. So funny that you mentioned the dogwood flower as your fave. Our next door neighbor has a tree, and because of the sight line and fence, I rarely notice it in bloom. This morning I saw a single dogwood bloom had fallen off and floated down to our side of the fence. It was sitting in the grass, and I was tempted to pick it up and bring it inside. I think I’ll fetch it when I’m out with the dog later and then I’ll be sending you good energy when I look at it on my window ledge.

    • Jodi Lobozzo Aman April 27, 2012 at 4:37 AM #

Beautiful, Laura. I usually am on the computer lounging on the couch with nothing around me- no codes to purchase anything. So I always have to mark the page and come back for your book, which never happens. Yesterday I finally did it! Didn’t get much else done, but I got that done!

  9. Brenda April 26, 2012 at 2:24 PM #

I thank you kindly for the award. I too dislike being put in a position to select from other bloggers and I always feel horrible about assigning them the burden of passing it along. It’s a tough job being a winner. We’re all tingling for the honor. :-) I think anyone who puts themselves out there, hits the publish button, takes time out of their day to read and share, deserves the award.

Too all the winners – congrats and to Jodi, you’re peach.
